Sport teaches kids values they carry with them forever. To help kids start on this journey they need the MILO® Champ App. It’s a personalised training programme that introduces the fundamentals of movement skills so a child can develop an early love of sport.

What’s MILO® Champ Squad?

This gamified coaching program teaches kids the fundamental movement skills needed to play any sport. They create personalised avatars and get assistance from their virtual coaching buddy as they tale on FUN weekly challenges.

Expertly built on a solid foundation of sports science, child psychology and gaming theory, the MILO® Champ App helps prepare kids for a successful future.

Being competent in basic movement skills gives kids the confidence to step on the field and enjoy sports. Not only will they develop a lifelong love of physical activity, but they’ll also build better social skills and higher self-esteem.

The App
  • 1. How do I download the MILO® Champ Squad App?
    For Apple devices, download the app via the App Store. For Android devices, download via Google Play.
  • 2. How much does the app cost?
    The MILO® Champ App is free and available to download from both the App Store and Google Play!
  • 3. What devices are compatible with the MILO® Champ App?
    iPhones with iOS version 10.0 and above and Androids with version 4.5 and above, will be compatible with the MILO® Champ App. To update your software, click on the ‘Settings’ section of your phone. You’ll then be able to sign in to the app.
  • 4. How do I create a profile for my child?

    Once you have downloaded the MILO® Champ App, and registered your personal details, click: details, click on the link to verify your account via email, you'll then be able to sign in to the app.

    Here, you'll be prompted to create your Child Profile. You can create additional profiles for each of your children in the Parent Dashboard, which is accessible via a PIN code the parent creates for additional security.

  • 5. What personal details do I need to add for my child?
    When creating your child's profile, you'll need to add their nickname, date of birth and gender.
  • 6. How does my child send a friend request?

    To send a friend request, head to the leaderboard and follow these steps:

    1. Click on the search icon (top right of the screen).
    2. Search for your friend's name.
    3. Select your friend and send them a friend request.
    4. Wait for your friend's parent to approve this request. The other child's parent will need to approve this request in their task list of their parent dashboard before it is accepted.
    5. Once approved, your friend will be added in your friend list on the leaderboard.
  • 7. Can anyone see my child’s activity or personal information?
    No. Other users will only see your child's nickname and their personalised avatar.
  • 8. Can anyone track the location of my child using the app or band?
    No. There is no way anyone can see your child's location with the MILO® Champ Band or App.
  • 9. How will you protect the personal information of mine and my child's data?
    Our Privacy Policy discloses how Nestlé collects, stores and uses your personal information. It also explains how you can access and update your personal information or make a complaint. You can access our full Privacy Policy here.
  • 10. I don’t have a child, can I use the app for myself?
    The MILO® Champ App has been designed for kids aged 6-12 years. All activities and challenges have been developed with this age group in mind.
  • 11. If I delete the app and re-download it, will the old data still be available?
    Yes. All data is saved within your user profile so don’t worry if you delete the app. When you re-download it again, your data will still be available.
  • 12. I can't download the app. What should I do?
    Firstly, make sure you are connected to the Internet. Then, check your phones version is recent enough to be compatible with the app. iPhones with iOS versions 10.0 and above and Android phones with versions 4.5 and above will support the MILO® Champ App. To update your software, click on the ‘Settings’ area of your phone.

The Band
  • 1. What is the MILO® Champ Band?

    The MILO® Champ Band was a fun, waterproof fitness band that let kids track their activity and heart rate.

    We’ve made the decision to discontinue the band in January 2021, so unfortunately, we there are no more available.

  • 2. Where can I get a MILO® Champ Band?
    Sadly, our bands are no longer available as we made the decision to discontinue the band in January 2021.
  • 3. What exercises can my child do while wearing the band?
    The MILO® Champ Band can be worn during most activities, such as running, jumping, biking and swimming, given it's waterproof.
  • 4. How do I charge my child’s MILO® Champ Band?
    To charge your MILO® Champ Band, simply plug the magnetic USB charger into an active USB port and leave the device to charge.
  • 5. How long does it take to charge the band?
    It may take up to 2 hours to fully charge your MILO® Champ Band.
  • 6. Can my child use the band if he/she is below 6 years old?
    The MILO® Champ Band and App have been designed for children between 6-12 years old. It is not recommended for children under 6.
  • 7. Can my child use the band if he/she is 13 years and above?
    You can still register for and use the MILO® Champ App if your child is aged 13 or over. However, all activities and challenges have been developed with the 6 to 12 years age group in mind.
  • 8. Can the band be submerged in water?
    The MILO® Champ Band is fully water resistant, so it can be worn in a swimming pool. However, we do not recommend wearing the band in the open sea.
  • 9. What happens if I have a defective band?

  • 10. How do I sync my child’s MILO® Champ Band with the App?

    To sync your child's MILO® Champ Band with the App, simply tap 'Connect MILO® Band' while creating your Child Profile. Just make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings and your device is within 1m to the band. Then, enter the 4-digit PIN code from the band into the app.

    If you have trouble syncing while creating your Child Profile, please try the following:

    1. Create your child profile without syncing
    2. Click on the Parent Dashboard
    3. Select the Child Profile
    4. Click on the Pair Band and sync band to app
  • 11. What can I do if my child’s MILO® Champ Band won’t sync with the App?

    First thing first, check to see if the app requires any updates:

    1. Open up the App Store or Google Play and check for updates
    2. If the option to update is present, update the app

    Then, restart your phone:

    1. Restart your phone.
    2. Once the phone has restarted, open the app and try to sync

    If these options fail, reinstall the app:

    1. Uninstall the MILO® Champ App.
    2. Reinstall the app, log back in and try to sync.
  • 12. What can I do if my child’s MILO® Champ Band won’t charge?

    Make sure the magnetic USB charger for the MILO® Champ Band is clean and not dusty.

    Still not working? Check your charging port/cable:

    1. You can charge your band, by plugging the USB charger into your computer port.
    2. Turn your computer off and on to see if the charging display lights up on your LED screen.
    3. Check and clean any dust out of the USB port and the band.
    4. Try again to charge the band.
  • 13. How do I see my child’s physical activity?

    Turn the device on by pressing the two circles at the bottom of the device. Tap the device moving through the features until the heart appears. To turn on the heart rate monitor press down the same button until the green light on the back of the device appears. The heart rate monitor is now on and will show you the heart rate. Further details can be seen in the app dashboard.

  • 14. How do I see my child’s physical activity?

    Firstly, select which Child Profile you'd like to see via the Parent Dashboard. From here, you can view your child's daily steps and heart rate. For more details on your child's activity, click on 'Band Activity'. If you don't have the Champ Band, you'll only see your child's Foundational Movement Skills progress.

    If you don't have the MILO® Champ Band, you'll only see your child's Fundamental Movement Skills progress.

  • 15. How do I update the time & date on the band if I don’t have the app?
    In order to update the time and date on the MILO Champ Band you will need to download the app and sync your band to the app. The Champ Squad App is free and available to download from both the App Store for Apple devices and Google Play for Android devices.
